Hi there......my fav. places to shop and eat in Melbourne are the Fitzroy area....particularly Brunswick Street, Gertrude Street and Smith Street - brilliant variety of unique shops, fabulous cafes too. Check out the 'Places to Visit' section of my blog - there is a map there that will help you find all the great places there. Along the way from Sydney to Melbourne, hmmmmm, I am not really sure as I havent done that trip in ages, but I know Aubry is a beautiful town and I love a poke around the shops in Dean Street whenever I am there.Have a wonderful trip !!!Silly question perhaps, but I can find the tabs on your page to follow your blog - where do I look? Forgive my ignorance.....
thanks for the tips!the follow blog thing doesn't come up at the top? hmm maybe just copy paste my url into your blog list?
Thanks - all done ! Looking forward to following along with your facinating blogg ! Let me know how you enjoy your trip ! Cheers.
I posted ablog entry on where to check out for Melbourne vegan visitors:http://bluerthanpink.blogspot.com/2008/07/my-guide-to-melbourne-for-vegan.htmlIt is all still pretty accurate, except I would probably add tart n round in thornbury if you are planning on going to northcote Hope it helps!
there's not too many places to stop at on the way, unless you really really like hot chips. i usually pack snacks and lunches and find nice picnic spots to eat at. As for where to eat in melbourne, for sure check out tripy taco, it's my favourite place to eat in the city. tart n round too as kristy suggested. are you still in town? a bunch of us bloggers should meet up.
